Kom je ook naar mijn mooie atelier op Scheveningen voor een dag vol plezier en flow?
Er is geen ervaring vereist, ik ben er om je alles te laten zien en te leren en ik verzeker je dat iedereen naar huis gaat met een kunstwerk, dat je voor jezelf kunt houden of weg kunt geven aan een dierbare als cadeau.
Alle materialen zijn aanwezig op het atelier en er is onbeperkt koffie en thee, had ik de zoete lekkernijen al genoemd?
Een huisgemaakte wintersoep tijdens de lunch en een dag vol plezier en creativiteit, hoe mooi kan het zijn?
Kunst maken is goed voor je brein en je ziel!

6-weekse cursus Deep Dive into Collage and the Gelliplate
Deze nieuwe cursus gaat 6 weken duren en in die 6 weken gaan we een aantal superleuke projecten doen. Wat gaan we leren tijdens de lessen? Natuurlijk komen de basistechnieken aan de orde van gelli plate printen en collage, maar al doende komen veel mixed media technieken langs. We gaan verschillende collages maken waarvoor we onder andere veel gebruik gaan maken van de Gelliplaat om onze eigen collage papier te printen. We gaan o.a. een naïef bloemstilleven maken, een abstract werk en een werk naar eigen keuze of een kunstenaarsboekje. In deze cursus leer ik je de gelliplaat goed te gebruiken en een scala aan verschillende monoprint technieken en collage technieken komen langs. Ook leer je hoe je tot een interessant beeld komt met goed design en wat belangrijker is, is dat je al spelenderwijs leert waar jouw affiniteit ligt. De cursus zal gegeven worden op vrijdagmiddag van 15:00 tot 17.00 u. in groepen van maximaal 6 personen. De cursus wordt gehouden in mijn atelier aan de Westduinweg. De gelli platen heb ik in mijn atelier als ook kopieerpapier, potloden, scharen en lijm. Je neemt je eigen acrylverf mee en bv. speciaal papier dat je wilt gebruiken om te printen.
Bij veel inschrijvingen kan ik eventueel een tweede groep opstarten op de zaterdagochtend. De inschrijving is nu geopend voor de nieuwe ronde in mei/juni. Je kunt je plaats reserveren via onderstaand contactformulier. Deze cursus is geschikt voor de beginner en de ervaren kunstenaar!

This course is going to last 10 weeks and in those 10 weeks we are going to do a number of superfun projects. What will we learn during the lessons? Of course we will learn the basic collage and printing techniques and we will learn a lot of mixed media techniques along the way. We will make different collages for which we will use of the Gelliplate to monoprint our own collage paper. Among other things we will make a naive floral still life, an abstract work and a work of our own choosing or an artist's booklet. In this course I will teach you how to use the gelliplate, the do's and don'ts and a variety of different monoprint techniques. You will also learn how to achieve an interesting image using good design, but more importantly, you will learn to discern you own preferences while playing and being creative. The course will be taught on Friday evenings from 15.00 till 17.00 hrs. in groups of up to 6 people. The course will be held in my studio on the Westduinweg. Gelli plates are here in the studio, as are pencils, copy paper, glue and scissors. You'll bring your own acrylic paints and special papers that you collect to print on. If there are enough interested people, I can start a second group on Saturday mornings. This course is suitable for all levels, whether you are a beginner of an experienced artist!

SCHEVENINGEN SHELLS
The Scheveningen shells workshop is a very accessible workshop, where even if you cannot draw or paint, you will still go home with a beautiful result. This workshop is only given on demand in the months of October, November and December.
The oyster shells from the Scheveningen fish auction are already thoroughly cleaned, so you can start painting them right away with acrylic paint, acrylic ink and permanent markers. The end result is a beautiful natural and creative gift. It can be used as a piece of art, jewelry dish or presentation object or you can fill a whole Christmas tree with them.
No experience is necessary; it always works!

De workshop Scheveningse schelpen is een zeer toegankelijke workshop, waarbij je ook als je niet kunt tekenen of schilderen, toch een met een mooi resultaat naar huis gaat. Let op: Deze workshop kun je alleen doen op aanvraag in oktober, november en december! De oesterschelpen van de Scheveningse visafslag zijn al grondig schoongemaakt, dus je kunt ze direct gaan beschilderen met acrylverf, acryl-inkt en permanent markers. Het eindresultaat is een mooi natuurlijk en creatief geschenk, of te gebruiken als sieraad, schaaltje of presentatie-object of je kunt een hele kerstboom volhangen!

GELLI PLATE PRINTING
With the Gelli Plate you can make amazing monoprints and it is also a lot of fun to do...almost addictive!
I will show you step-by-step how to create a work packed with colors, patterns and textures. A workshop for both beginners and advanced. You can layer and use stencils, use household tools to make texture, the choices are endless. You can use your printed papers to make a collage piece or you can go for a painterly approach and make a printed painting.
It is an artistic technique to apply in your own art and ideal for collage making.

Met de GelliPlate kun je geweldige monoprints maken en het is ook nog eens heel leuk om te doen...bijna verslavend!
Ik laat je stap voor stap zien hoe je een werk maakt vol kleuren, patronen en texturen. Een workshop voor zowel beginners als gevorderden. Je kunt lagen over elkaar printen en stencils gebruiken, huishoudelijk gereedschap of verpakkingsmaterialen gebruiken om textuur te maken, de keuzes zijn eindeloos. Je kunt je bedrukte papieren gebruiken om een collage te maken of je kunt voor een schilderachtige aanpak gaan en een gedrukt schilderij maken.
Het is een artistieke techniek om toe te passen in je eigen kunstvorm en ideaal voor het maken van collages.

Make your own artist's book
In this 2 hour workshop you will create your own artist book! From 1 large sheet of paper. You will print this sheet yourself using the monoprint technique with a Gelliplate. This technique is a lot of fun to do and has endless possibilities.
With all kinds of easy to find everyday things like toilet rolls, rope, bubble wrap and old packaging materials you can achieve beautiful textures and produce an interesting print.
When the sheet is completely printed I will teach you how to fold it into a little booklet.
We will then finish the pages piece by piece with acrylic markers and prints on tissue paper until they each are beautiful works of art.
At the end of the workshop you will have your own beautiful artist book to take home!

In deze 2 uur durende workshop ga je jouw eigen kunstenaarsboek maken! Van 1 groot vel papier. Dit vel ga je zelf bedrukken met de monoprint techniek op een gelliplate. Deze techniek is erg leuk om te doen en heeft heel veel mogelijkheden.
Met allerlei makkelijk te vinden dagelijkse dingen als wc rollen, touw, bubbelplastic en oude verpakkingsmaterialen kun je mooie structuren bereiken en hier een interessante afdruk van printen. Ook gebruiken we mallen en stencils. De mogelijkheden zijn eindeloos!
Als het vel helemaal vol geprint is dan leer ik je hoe het te vouwen tot een mooi boekje.
We maken daarna de pagina's stuk voor stuk af tot het mooie kunstwerkjes zijn. Dit doen we door erop te tekenen of nog elementen erop te plakken.
Aan het eind van de workshop heb je jouw eigen kunstenaarsboek om mee naar huis te nemen!

Gelli plate cursus, wanneer worden deze gegeven, kan dat ook overdag?
Ik ben echt een beginner!
Tessa is een fijne docente, kundig en warm. Ze heeft me veel mogelijkheden van printen met de gelliplate laten zien, waarmee ik zelf verder kan experimenteren. Heel erg leuk en mooi, al die verrassingseffecten die ontstaan. Tessa kon goed inspelen op mijn spontane vragen en ideeen en tegelijk de focus op de overdracht van haar expertise houden.
I really enjoyed creating my artist's book from Gelli Plate Printing with Tessa. The richness of textures coming out of such a direct and doable process was so playful and relaxing. Beyond leaving with my own artist's book, I left with so many insights and pieces of wisdom from Tessa who is a warm and generous soul and natural teacher. She has a knack for bringing the creative spirit out of people. This is a special gift that I appreciate immensely!
